The meeting was chaired by Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Raisi, Director of Ports and Border Points Affairs, Chairman of the Committee, along with ranking police officers and top officials.
The Committee discussed several topics and reviewed the evaluation of the workflow at the ports during the Eid al Fitr holiday, and discussed the most prominent challenges and points of improvement, and expressed its satisfaction with the efforts made by all authorities at the ports and border points.
The Chairman of the Committee affirmed the Committee’s keenness to develop the sector of ports and border points in cooperation with partners and with the support of the wise leadership of Sharjah.
The committee stressed their keenness to achieve the objectives for which the Organizational Committee was established through permanent work to raise the efficiency and readiness of the ports and border areas in Sharjah.
The committee reviewed the letters received from the competent authorities and took the appropriate decisions in their regard, including the statistics of users of public transportation affiliated to the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) at the recently established station in Khatm Milaha next to the Khatm Milaha border port and designated for buses to transport arrivals and departures from the port, which showed a high turnout. The committee recommended the development of the SRTA’s service in the future and thanked them for their cooperation.
