SEDD and “Ruwad” provide incentives to “Etimad” licence holders

In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) and the Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurship, “Ruwad” have introduced special advantages under the “Etimad” programme for home licence holders, aiming to stimulate the economy and empower Emirati business owners.
Under the “Etimad” programme, home-based company owners are set to benefit from a range of support services and opportunities. These include comprehensive counselling, specialised training courses, participation in department and foundation exhibits and events, as well as dedicated facilities for selling and promoting their products.

The implementation of these strategies is aimed at fostering economic growth in Sharjah while ensuring the sustainability and quality of businesses. The Economic Development Department is committed to providing complete assistance and facilitation to enhance the success of projects and encourage the active participation of citizens in the emirate’s economic expansion.

Moreover, the “Etimad” license, issued by the Commercial Affairs Department, offers additional benefits to license holders. These include exclusive access to yearly exhibitions, educational courses, project incubation and development services, marketing support, and intellectual property protection. By safeguarding traders’ rights, trademarks, and distinctive items, the licence contributes to supporting home-based companies and creating a fair and conducive business environment.

Sharjah’s government continues to demonstrate its unwavering support for local enterprises and its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship. By offering Emiratis opportunities to succeed, the government aims to drive economic growth, encourage innovation, and nurture a thriving business ecosystem.

With the “Etimad” programme, Sharjah’s Economic Development Department and Ruwad are set to empower Emirati business owners and pave the way for a prosperous and sustainable economy in the emirate.
