University of Sharjah Inks Pact with Invest Bank

According to the MoU, both parties will collaborate in organizing various joint workshops, awareness sessions, and seminars on cutting-edge topics, such as financial inclusion, financial literacy, digital financial literacy, finance, climate change and digitalization. In addition to enhancing students’ learning experiences, helping them develop the soft skills needed to succeed in today’s job market, providing experts as guest speakers on business topics related to finance and other relevant areas, organizing mentorship sessions for UOS students to help them launch their startups, as well as organizing annual competition in areas of mutual interest, providing UOS students with the opportunity for an internship to develop their practical skills and prepare them to enter the job market.

During the signing of the memorandum, Dr. Salah Taher Al-Hajj welcomed this cooperation, stressing the University of Sharjah’s keenness on expanding its collaborative efforts with numerous private companies and governmental institutions in the field of trade and industry, pointing out that this partnership provides UOS’s students with the opportunity for an internship at Invest Bank, in which CoBA students will acquire advanced practical skills in the field of banking and finance.

Expressing his happiness over the cooperation, Mr. Ahmad Mohd Abu Eideh  said: “We are extremely proud to be partnering with such a prestigious educational institution as the University of Sharjah and we believe that we can play a significant role in inspiring and developing the students and building the next generation of talent. This partnership is a major step in our journey, and we look forward to working together on a variety of initiatives that will benefit students and prepare them to enter the job market”.

The MoU signing was attended by Prof. Dima Rachid Jamali, Dean of the College of Business Administration, and Mr. Malik Mihdawi, Director of Community Cooperation Office. From Invest Bank, the MoU was attended by Mr. Amir  AlSalous, Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing.
