Shurooq reveals grand project for Khorfakkan Beach tourism.

As part of its comprehensive development plans targeting the Eastern Region, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) revealed the details of its integrated architectural and tourism project on Khorfakkan Beach, which includes a 75-room hotel managed by Marriott International and a water park, the first of its kinds in the Eastern Region. The project, which will be officially opened in 2024, also includes over 200 residential apartments and units to be offered for sale shortly.

The project consists of three different facilities including hotel, residential, service and entertainment ones and provides restaurants, swimming pools and an event hall, while the residential units offered for sale include restaurants and stores in the ground floor, to serve residents and visitors. The full details of the project will be announced and the project will be officially launched in the third quarter of this year.

The hotel, which is part of Shurooq projects in Khor Fakkan, will follow Marriott International’s Autograph Collection brand and will include 62 single rooms, 5 double rooms and 8 luxury suites with beach views.

This was announced by Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Shurooq Acting CEO, in a conversation with the Direct Line programme broadcast live on Sharjah Radio and TV. Al Qaseer revealed that the project plan extends over a large area of Khor Fakkan Beach near the port.

The 5-star Khorfakkan Hotel is being developed on an area of 38,000 square feet opposite Khorfakkan port to meet the demand for tourism, luxury hospitality and unique leisure experiences, enhance Sharjah’s bid to attract tourists and enrich investment growth opportunities in a variety of sectors including tourism, services, entertainment, water sports and retail.
