“Shams Talks” hosts Mohammed Al Musharakh

With the aim of strengthening partnerships with government and private entities, Sharjah Media City “Shams” presented, through “Shams Talks” podcast, several interviews with officials, experts and prominent figures based on its pioneering role in strengthening the media sector in different fields, introducing the achievements of the Emirate of Sharjah in various sectors and shedding light on the most prominent media and economic challenges.

“Shams Talks” hosted His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh, CEO of Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah). The panel discussion addressed several economic and investment topics, Sharjah success in enhancing its investment attractiveness; promoting investment and commercial opportunities provided by the emirate to international companies, investors and business leaders from all over the world; the size of foreign direct investment flows to the Emirate of Sharjah during the past year and the current year 2024; Sharjah FDI Office strategy to enhance the economic efficiency of the emirate; and cooperation with entities and bodies to enhance investor confidence in the economic climate in the emirate.

His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh confirmed that the Emirate of Sharjah ranked fifth globally as the fastest growing city in attracting foreign direct investment worldwide, with investments amounting to $2.75 billion. He added that  numbers confirm Sharjah’s position on the global investment map.

His Excellency pointed out that the role of Sharjah FDI Office “Invest in Sharjah” is to promote the investment opportunity available in the Emirate of Sharjah to all investors from different countries of the world, and to provide them with many opportunities in different sectors such as tourism, food security, logistics, transportation and the environment, whereas all of these sectors have great opportunities for investment with a great return in the Emirate of Sharjah.

His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh confirmed that the office has an annual strategic plan for external participations, focusing on large markets such as China, Europe and India, and recently the UAE joined BRICS, easing trade between the UAE and BRICS countries.

His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh added that the entities that adopt technology and artificial intelligence will enjoy easy procedures. The office provides many facilities and services to investors, especially the support provided by the wise government in this field.

In 2019, the office launched the Sharjah Investor Services Centre “Saeed”, which is a single platform for all local and federal government services, to facilitate procedures for investors in obtaining commercial licenses, whether within the emirate or in one of the free zones located there. The office also launched initiatives that focus on using technology to reach the largest segment of investors in various countries of the world, and adopts artificial intelligence to facilitate procedures for investors in Sharjah.
