Masar: Sharjah’s latest hub for cycling

Masar Track, situated in the heart of Sharjah’s Al Suyoh district, has emerged as a favorite spot for more than 100 cyclists each day as cooler weather arrives.

Encircled by a lush, tree-lined forest, this unique track in the UAE extends 6.6 km through meticulously designed greenery. The track, inaugurated last year, provides a distinctive experience for both amateur and professional cyclists, showcasing three illuminated tunnels and two bridges.

The track connects to a 6.4 km network of cycling and running paths throughout the Masar community, resulting in a total length of 13 km. Residents can engage in outdoor activities amidst a tranquil, natural setting on the internal paths.

Amit Arora, chief operating officer at Arada, the developer of Masar, emphasised the growing appeal of the track: “We are pleased to see more cyclists on the Masar Track as the weather improves.” As we near the end of our project, which will showcase 70,000 trees, we strive to cultivate a lively and dynamic culture.
Masar Track features a looped cycleway, providing bike rentals, maintenance services, and a café.

The broader community of Masar benefits from additional amenities, such as a skate park, a children’s adventure zone, and the ZAD corner, which features a variety of food outlets, including Boost Juice.

Arada has sponsored the Rabdan Cycling Team from Abu Dhabi, where its 20 Emirati riders are currently training at Masar in preparation for the upcoming race season. Hazza Al Mazini from the team commended the track for its sustainable and green environment, noting, “Masar Track offers a comfortable and refreshing atmosphere for cycling.”
