Sharjah Municipality fees, fines can soon be paid using Google, Samsung and Apple e-wallets

Sharjah Municipality has announced plans to go cashless with regards to payments of all fines and fees across the emirate starting July 15.

It will permit payment via e-wallet platforms from Samsung, Google and Apple, besides the use of credit and debit cards too.

It said in a tweet on Monday that all municipality fees will be collected via the Tasheel system using the following payment methods:

– Tasheel card

– Banking cards (credit or debit) via POS or online

– Emirates ID card

– Global e-wallets (Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay)

– Direct Debit from the bank account

Neighbouring emirate Dubai, meanwhile, said last month that the UAE PASS would become the only digital identity for all residents of Dubai, including citizens and expats, to access government services within the emirate as well as other parts of the country.

The UAE Pass has replaced the Dubai ID which was required to access online government services in the emirate.

Users of the UAE Pass can access more than 5,000 government services using a single username and password.
