As part of its strategy to cement the Emirate’s position as a leading regional hub for investment and business, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), is set to take part in the 11th edition of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIFE) in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, on November 3 – 5.
Geared towards attracting investors interested in the Emirate, the Shurooq stand at WIEF features information about Sharjah’s burgeoning sectors, with a focus on the Halal tourism and travel market; logistics and transportation; healthcare services; and the environment and green energy. In Addition, the Shurooq team provided the Forum’s attendees with a presentation about available opportunities in the Emirate.
Commenting on the Authority’s participation in WIFE, Saud Meqdad Al Suwaidi, Director of International Relations and Partnerships, at Shurooq, said: “The World Islamic Economic Forum is an ideal platform for us to promote Sharjah as a leading destination for investment and business in the Middle East region.
“The Emirate offers international investors in general, and Halal-conscious enterprises in particular, with a wide range of exciting growth opportunities across various sectors. As Sharjah’s economy continues to gain more momentum, we are looking to attract international companies to partake in the Emirate’s success story.”
